Contest: Decide the Future of The Shrubbery

Okay, not really. We make the decisions around here. We pay the rent.

But, you do get some say. Because we're doing this all for you, people. The Shrub is for the children.

You may have noticed that this seems to be a thin issue, but there's a reason for that. Read on.

Here's the question-should we change our format? Jessica and I have been trying to think of ways to freshen things up a bit here lately and the free e-mail thing is just one of them. Another would be to switch from monthly to weekly or even daily updates. As it is right now we got a ton of hits on the first few days of the month, but then it tapers drastically. We want people to have a reason to keep coming back.

So here are the options: we can continue our monthly publishing, go for smaller, weekly issues or even go to daily updates, with one or two new articles added nearly every day. Either way we probably won't increase the total number of articles we print each month, but this will allow us to keep a little more up-to-date.

All you need to do to help us decide is send a quick mail over to vote@theshrubbery.com and tell us to go monthly, weekly or daily. We'll try to scrape together some kind of prize to give to one of the entries selected, as usual, at random.

And as always, feel free to send along any other suggestions you might have.
